Community Garden Plot

Plot Information

All garden plots are currently rented. If you would like to be added to the waitlist, please email yorkcomm.garden@gmail.com.

The York Community Garden offers 48 plots to York County residents for a nominal annual fee:

  • 10’ x 12’ plots: $15 per year

  • 10’ x 20’ plots: $25 per year

Plots are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis and must be approved by the Community Garden Coordinator. If you are interested in obtaining a plot, please email yorkcomm.garden@gmail.com.


Gardener Support and Education

Gardeners who rent a plot will receive support from the Community Garden Coordinator and a Virginia Cooperative Extension Agent. Assistance includes educational programs and gardening instruction offered at various times throughout the year.

Renewals

  • Returning gardeners must renew by January 31 to keep their current plot or receive priority for a different available plot.

  • Renewals are processed first-come, first-served and are not guaranteed if the deadline is missed.

  • Gardeners who do not renew by January 31 will forfeit their plot, which may be reassigned to new applicants.
