Happy Thanksgiving! Christmas Events Begin Next Week, Sidewalk Open Houses Scheduled for December
Holiday Events Begin Next Week!
It’s the holiday season with the whoop-de-do and dickory dock, and don’t forget to set your clocks for all the festivities planned in Historic Yorktown the first week in December! It all kicks off with the Christmas Tree Lighting at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, December 1, at York Hall. From there, a lighted procession makes its way to the tree lighting and a meet-and-greet with Santa at Riverwalk Landing. Head to the Market on Main to purchase one-of-a-kind Christmas gifts, listen to strolling entertainment, make holiday crafts, watch an ice carving demonstration, and more on Saturday, December 2, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Sunday, December 3, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. On Saturday evening at 7:30 p.m., watch as a fleet of decorated boats navigate the York River during the Lighted Boat Parade. Finally, on Sunday, December 3, from 1 to 4 p.m., the Gallery at York Hall hosts Cookies with Santa! More information is available in this week’s press release and the latest issue of Citizen News Quarterly. Read on...
