The following is a list of the most commonly requested actions with the Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court and where to file for those actions:
  • Criminal warrants (Adult defendant) - File with the Magistrate at the Regional Jail
  • Initial petition for custody/visitation - File at the Court Service Unit
  • Initial petition for family abuse protective order - File at the Court Service Unit
  • Initial petition for support - File at the Court Service Unit Or DCSE
  • Motion for Show Cause (failing to comply with a court order) - File at the Clerks Office
  • Motion to amend current Order (custody/visitation/support) - File at the Clerk's Office
  • Petition for delinquency (juvenile defendant), Emancipation, Child in Need of Services, Child in Need of Supervision, and Paternity - File at the Court Service Unit
  • Registration of Foreign Custody/Visitation/Support Order - File at the Clerks Office
  • Request for records (Subpoena Duces Tecum) - File at the Clerk's Office
  • Request for witness subpoena - File at the Clerk's Office
