Story Times

The Library offers story times for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. Join us for fun, stories and songs during each three or four-week session. Baby Bookworms, Tiny Tales, Toddler Tales, and Preschool Story Time last 30 minutes. Due to limited class size, registration is required. To register visit the Youth Services desk, call the Tabb Library (757-890-5110) or Yorktown Library (757-890-3236), or register online through the Events Calendar.

Bilingual Story Time is for our preschool friends and amigos. It is conducted in English and Spanish. There will be stories, songs, and a craft or other activity. Bilingual Story Time is from 10:15 to 11 a.m. on the first Monday of the month at the Tabb Library. Since class size is limited, registration is required.

Snuggle Stories, our evening family story time, is for children of all ages and their parents/caregivers. There will be stories, songs and a simple craft or activity. Children are encouraged to wear their pajamas. Registration is not required. Snuggle Stories begins at 7 p.m. on the second Thursday of the month at the Tabb Library.

STEM Story Time is for families with children ages 2 to 10-years-old. Join us for stories that will introduce the STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) topic and participate in a craft, experiment, or demonstration which reinforces the topic. STEM Story Time is from 7-7:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month at the Yorktown Library. Registration is required.
