About Heather Schott
Heather Schott is the County's Assistant to the County Administrator and Deputy Clerk to the Board of Supervisors. A graduate of the Virginia Women's Municipal Leadership Institute, hosted by Virginia Tech, she also serves as the County's Records Officer. Heather directs the provision of legislative services for the County Administrator and the Board of Supervisors, including the development and coordination of the agenda and agenda materials for the Board's meetings. Additionally, she oversees the Public Affairs Office.
She is responsible for maintaining and updating the official records of the Board of Supervisors and County Administrator, directing the preparation and distribution of meeting minutes, and preparing or overseeing the preparation of resolutions, ordinances, and various forms of correspondence for the County Administrator and Board of Supervisors.
Mrs. Schott holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Government and Public Administration from Liberty University. She earned her Master Municipal Clerk designation in 2022 and her Certified Municipal Clerk designation in 2018. She is a member of the Virginia Municipal Clerks Association, the International Institute of Municipal Clerks, and the Virginia Association of Government Archives and Records Administrators. Mrs. Schott has served the County in various roles since 2007.
