The York County Department of Public Works will hold an open house on Monday, December 18, 2023, between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. on the proposed Siege Lane Sidewalk Project to review and discuss the plan information, answer questions, and receive citizen comments. The County is working with a design consultant and the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) to design a sidewalk to be located on the southeast side of Siege Lane between Runaway lane and York-Warwick Drive.  The five-foot wide concrete sidewalk will include stormwater management features and safe street design principles. This will promote safe pedestrian mobility accessible to all walks, make new connections to schools, and improve the pedestrian experience.

If you are unable to attend the public meeting or to obtain project information, you may email your comments to Elizabeth.Mertz-Guinn@yorkcounty.gov by December 21, 2023.  Please reference “Siege Lane Comments” in the subject line. The open house will take place in the York County Public Works Office, 105 Service Drive, Yorktown, VA 23692.  Project information will be available 30 days prior to the open house.
