Book enthusiasts gathered at the Tabb Library this weekend for the inaugural meeting of the Tabb Book Readers, a new library book club that encourages participants to stretch their horizons and share the books they discover on their journey.
For the February meeting, attendees could read anything they wished as long as it featured a mystery or a
crime. Some chose more traditional mysteries, while others dived in to true crime or psychological thrillers with
a mystery bent.
TBR members agreed that a well-developed puzzle and believable characters were the
keys to a great mystery. Couldn't make the meeting but want some recommendations from group? Check out what the TBR
read in February below.

The next meeting of the TBR will be held on Saturday, March 23, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. The theme for March is
“Experiencing Japan." Members can read fiction or non-fiction titles, as long as they touch on Japanese culture in
some way. The main discussion topic will be what readers learned about Japan or Japanese culture from the books
they read. Be on the look-out for a round-up of suggested titles hand-picked by our librarians soon.
Starting on March 1, you can call 757-890-5120 or visit the library's Events Calendar to RSVP (i.e.
register) for the meeting. The library's website is www.yorkcounty.gov/library. Registration will close on March 21st.
