Use the number located under the barcode on the back of your card without spaces. Resources identified with "in library use only" may only be accessed on the public computers located at your Tabb or Yorktown Library.

Features a wide variety of credible, vetted news sources spanning the United States. Also available remotely 24/7 on any device.
Ancestry for Virginians
Offers Virginians free access to select sets of Virginia-related genealogy records hosted by Ancestry.com. Search results may include materials not part of the Library of Virginia’s collections. Users will be offered the opportunity to access these additional records through a paid subscription to Ancestry.com. Full access to Ancestry.com is available for use inside the Tabb and Yorktown Libraries.

Genealogy collection includes census, vital, military and immigration records for the United States, as well as extensive Canadian and international collections from the United Kingdom, Australia, France, Germany and Scandinavian countries.
Brainfuse
Brainfuse helps students, job seekers, and veterans by connecting them with eTutors, Job Coaches, and qualified Veteran Navigators. Users can also organize online meetings for peer-to-peer learning.
HelpNow offers live tutor access for homework help, skills building and test preparation. The test center offers practice tests for all levels in math, reading, and writing as well as college preparatory tests - including the SAT. Spanish language homework help is also available.
JobNow provides users with a host of services to help in every step of the job search process including job searching, resume template, professional resume review, live interview coaching, and skill building resources.
VetNow supports your community's veterans and their families with navigating the VA bureaucracy, providing academic tutoring, employment transition assistance, and live job coaching.
Chisman Creek Superfund Site
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is currently conducting a five-year review of the cleanup at the Chisman Creek Superfund Site which is expected to be completed in December 2021. A postcard was mailed to the surrounding York County, Virginia, community in June with more information. Visit the EPA Superfund Site to learn more about the cleanup history and review of the Chisman Creek site.

Updated daily, it includes obituaries, editorials, announcements, sports, real estate and other sections. The Daily Press is available in a text format and an image format. Text format is available from 1989 to current date, while full page image format is available from 2023 to current date.

Document Bank of Virginia is the Library of Virginia’s initiative to get Virginia historical documents to students and teachers. It gives students the ability to analyze the original documents and draw their own conclusions about Virginia’s past.

Explora Public Libraries
Explora is a user-friendly search tool that supports both research and instruction. Explora searches across the following resources: MasterFILE Complete and Read It!. MasterFILE Complete is a comprehensive collection of full-text general interest articles from periodicals, newspapers, and books. Read It! helps students who have a basic foundation in English grammar and reading, but need level-appropriate reading material. Read It! is also a great tool for English Language Learners.

JSTOR provides full-text access to academic journals, eBooks, and primary sources in the arts, sciences, humanities, and more. It is currently only available inside the Tabb and Yorktown Libraries (including WiFi).
Legal Forms
Gale Legal Forms provides downloadable, fillable forms for basic legal transactions, current to Virginia code including wills, power of attorney, landlord/tenant, pre-marital agreements, divorce, and many other forms. It includes a comprehensive section of templates for small businesses including invoices, leases, sales agreement contracts, and more. Also included is a state attorney directory and a dictionary of legal definitions explained in laymen’s language.

Transparent Language Online - KidSpeak
KidSpeak is a fun, age-appropriate online language course designed for children ages 6 and up. Virginia Chronicle
Provided by the Library of Virginia, Virginia Chronicle is a historical archive of Virginia newspapers, providing free access to full text searching and digitized images of over a million newspaper pages. The York Town Crier (1978-2001) and York Town Crier: The Poquoson Post (2002-2019) have recently been digitized and added to the collection.
