York County Economic & Tourism Development has launched a new tool to help locals and visitors make the most of their time in Historic Yorktown. The Visit Yorktown Widget—now available on both desktop and mobile devices—offers an interactive way to discover all the dining, attractions, events, and experiences that make Historic Yorktown unique.
Developed by Visit Widget, this platform allows users to build customized itineraries based on their interests and preferences. Whether planning a quick outing or a full weekend, guests can explore where to eat, drink, learn, play, shop, and stay—all in one convenient place.
“Visitors today are looking for simple, seamless ways to plan their trips, and this platform delivers exactly that,” said Deirdre Roesch, Marketing & Communications Manager for York County Economic & Tourism Development. “Whether you’re coming for an afternoon or an extended stay, the Visit Yorktown Widget puts all the best of Historic Yorktown at your fingertips.”
The app is available for download on both iPhone and Android devices, allowing users to carry their plans with them wherever they go—even without Wi-Fi or cell service.
A version of the platform will also be available at a kiosk inside the Yorktown Welcome Center, where guests can build an itinerary on-site, send it directly to their phones, and set out on their adventure right away.
