Local Redistricting

The United States Constitution, the Constitution of Virginia, and the Code of Virginia require that the Commonwealth and its localities redistrict following the Decennial Census.

Two alternative redistricting plans were presented to the Board of Supervisors at its February 1 work session. After discussion, the Board chose Alternative A as the preferred alternative. A public hearing and final adoption was held on March 1. Watch the March 1 BOS Meeting replay here.

Current Districts

Following the adoption of the new districts, precincts, and polling places, new Voter Information Notices will be mailed to voters who will be affected by the changes. These notices will tell voters what districts they live in as well as where their polling place is located.
